Accessibility approach

4SI aims to make the public website and research usable with keyboards, screen readers, zoom and reduced-motion preferences. This statement describes implemented practices and does not claim certified or complete conformance with a specific standard.

Implemented practices

• semantic headings, landmarks, labels and descriptive links;
• visible keyboard focus and native form controls;
• status text in addition to color;
• responsive layouts intended to remain usable at 320 pixels;
• reduced-motion behavior for nonessential animation;
• source links and data explanations available as text;
• no horizontal page layout required for core Radar use.

Known limitations

Large public datasets and dynamic filter interfaces can create long reading sequences. Some legacy pages and third-party linked documents may not meet the same accessibility objectives. 4SI prioritizes issues that prevent access to source, method, contact or core research meaning.
