Source hierarchy

4SI prefers authorities, regulators, courts, law enforcement, official company disclosures, standards organizations, peer-reviewed research and official research institutes. Established media may provide secondary confirmation or context. Anonymous, unattributed or unverifiable material is not treated as a confirmed incident.

Editorial standards

• map every public fact to a source and preserve direct links;
• state publication and event dates clearly;
• separate allegation, investigation, charge, finding, conviction and later disposition;
• do not infer technical cause, responsibility, loss or intent absent support;
• distinguish fact, observed signal, validated pattern and 4SI interpretation;
• consider relevant official responses and material later developments;
• avoid sensational headlines and unnecessary personal data;
• prefer multiple independent confirmations for systemic patterns;
• do not automatically publish a Critical Exposure.

Publication controls

Confidence D remains outside confirmed incident and documented-impact layers. Exposure clusters require the published inclusion chain. High-relevance economic scenarios and Critical status require human review. The public site serves an audited static snapshot; page visits do not trigger new scoring or publication.

Commercial context

4SI publishes the Index and Radar while also developing Presence products. Research pages identify 4SI interpretation and keep product positioning separate from source fact. Publication is not represented as independent journalism detached from 4SI’s mission.
