Where AI may assist

AI-assisted tools may support source triage, field normalization, duplicate review, translation support, comparison, drafting, code generation and quality assurance. The current public website does not send visitor browsing or filter activity to an AI API and does not generate Exposure conclusions on demand.

Validation and human review

AI output is not treated as a source or fact. Published facts map to cited evidence. Missing information is not filled through generation. Source facts, observed signals, validated patterns, 4SI assessments, modeled exposure and uncertainty remain separate. Methodology and model versions are recorded. Critical Exposure status requires documented human approval; corrections follow the published process.

What the public service does not do

  • no biometric identification of Index or Radar visitors;
  • no individual automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects;
  • no claim that AI output is objective, neutral, complete or error-free;
  • no automated publication of unverified allegations or Critical Exposures;
  • no live AI scoring during ordinary page visits.

Transparency and changing rules

4SI reviews applicable AI transparency obligations as its workflows and law change. This statement describes the present public research service and does not claim universal compliance with every AI law in the United States, European Union or elsewhere.
